I feel like cross-checking something into the glass...

I refuse to acknowledge another SOUTHERN team beating a CANADIAN team for the Stanley Cup!!

Carolina is beating Edmonton 3 games to 1 in the finals. In 2004, Tampa beat Calgary for the Cup.

What is wrong with this picture? I'll tell you what's wrong. People in these states freak out if it gets to 50 degrees! Did they even know what hockey was before they got a team (except for those poor souls that were transplanted from hockey states...)?! Do they ever really have ice? Can you play pond hockey there? Oh, and don't even get me started on moving the Stars from MN (the state of hockey) to Dallas!

The only thing slightly comforting in Carolina winning is that it puts the Wild in good draft position...

State below the Mason-Dixie line should not be allowed to have hockey teams. And even that is pushing it.

I'm moving to Canada.

Amen! I haven't followed hockey very closely in a while, but I couldn't agree with you more. Tampa didn't even sell out their cup games in their home arena! That's wrong! The Wild sell out games even when there's no playoffs in sight! No one watches hockey in Florida! I'm sure the same is true in the Carolinas!

OK, Edmonton's comeback was amazing. And Game 7 was the single best hockey game I have ever seen. So much intensity and speed! I was on the edge of my seat the whole game.

Oh well, there's always world cup soccer!
